Nepal Visa Information – Everester Adventure

1. Visa on Arrival
Most travelers obtain a Tourist Visa on Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, or authorized land borders. Fill out the online visa form in advance (recommended) or at the airport. Carry a valid passport (minimum six months), a passport photo, and visa fees in cash (USD preferred).

2. Visa Through Nepalese Diplomatic Missions
You can also apply for a tourist visa at a Nepalese Embassy or Consulate in your home country. Submit the completed online form, passport, photos, visa fee, and any additional required documents as per embassy instructions.

3. Visa Fees and Duration
Tourist visas are available for 15 days ($30), 30 days ($50), or 90 days ($125). Fees are subject to change, so always verify on the Nepal Department of Immigration website before travel.

4. Visa Extensions
Visas can be extended at the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Extensions cost $3 per day, with a minimum of 15 days ($45). Maximum stay in Nepal is 150 days per calendar year.

5. Important Guidelines
Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months, carry cash for visa payments, and follow Nepalese laws regarding visa duration. Certain travelers (children, SAARC nationals, Chinese nationals, NRN cardholders) may be eligible for free or discounted visas. Overstaying is a serious offense.
