Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) is one of Nepal’s most popular and rewarding Himalayan journeys. The trek usually takes 7–12 days, depending on the chosen route and walking pace, and reaches a maximum elevation of 4,130 meters at the Annapurna Base Camp. Because of the altitude, good physical fitness and proper acclimatization are important to reduce the risk of altitude-related problems.
The trail is known for its incredible diversity in landscapes and culture. Trekkers walk through lush rhododendron and bamboo forests, cross scenic waterfalls and terraced farmlands, and gradually enter the dramatic alpine landscapes surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks. Throughout the journey, you are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Annapurna massif, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli.
