Rolwaling Valley Trek

12 Days 11 Nights

The Rolwaling Valley Trek, situated within the Gaurishankar Conservation Area (GCA), is a moderately challenging teahouse trek located between Langtang National Park and the Khumbu region (home to Mt. Everest) in Nepal. It is part of the renowned Great Himalaya Trail and offers a serene, less-traveled route that runs close to the Tibetan border. The Sherpa village of Beding, reached after a three-day trek from Gonghar Khola, is the largest settlement in the valley.

Adventurous trekkers can extend the journey by crossing the Tashi Lapcha La pass (5,755 m) or attempting Pachermo Peak, though both require basic mountaineering skills and experienced guides. Tsho Rolpa (4,580 m), one of Nepal’s largest glacial lakes, often serves as the turnaround point for those returning to Gonghar Khola.
