Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. After settling in, there will be a detailed trek briefing covering the Rolwaling Valley itinerary, necessary permits, trekking guidelines, and essential preparations to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey ahead.

After breakfast, begin a scenic 7–8 hour drive from Kathmandu to Shigati. The route passes through lush valleys, terraced farmlands, and quaint villages, offering a first glimpse of Nepal’s natural beauty and local culture before the trek officially starts.

Start your trek from Shigati, gradually ascending through terraced fields, forests, and traditional villages. The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills and rivers as you make your way to Simigaun. Expect 5–6 hours of moderate trekking, with opportunities to experience the local culture along the way.

Today, the trek becomes more challenging as you steadily ascend through dense forests, open meadows, and rocky trails. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks along the way. The trek to Kharka takes approximately 6–7 hours, where you will spend the night in a teahouse, surrounded by the serene high-altitude landscape.

Today’s trek takes you higher into the Rolwaling Valley, passing through alpine meadows, rocky trails, and traditional Sherpa settlements. The trail gradually ascends to Beding, the largest village in the valley, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Expect 5–6 hours of trekking and a chance to experience the local Sherpa culture firsthand.

Take a well-deserved rest in Beding to acclimatize to the high altitude. You can explore the village, interact with the local Sherpa community, or take short hikes to nearby viewpoints for panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. This day helps your body adjust, preparing you for the higher altitudes ahead.

Today, you’ll ascend gradually from Beding to Na, passing through alpine landscapes dotted with prayer flags and small Sherpa settlements. The trek takes around 4–5 hours, offering spectacular views of towering Himalayan peaks. Overnight in Na provides a serene high-altitude experience, allowing you to rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Today’s trek leads you through rugged terrain, gradually ascending to Tsho Rolpa, one of Nepal’s largest glacial lakes. The 6–7 hour journey offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, glaciers, and high-altitude landscapes. Tsho Rolpa often serves as the turnaround point for those returning to Gonghar Khola. Overnight at a teahouse near the lake provides a peaceful, high-altitude experience.

Begin your descent from the glacial heights of Tsho Rolpa toward Dongang. The trail winds through high-altitude meadows, rivers, and remote villages, offering scenic views and a chance to observe local wildlife. Trekking for 5–6 hours, you’ll reach Dongang by evening, where a teahouse stay provides rest after a rewarding day of trekking.

Today, you continue descending through lush forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages, retracing the route back toward Gonghar Khola. The 5–6 hour trek offers a mix of scenic landscapes and cultural encounters, allowing you to reflect on the beauty and experiences of the Rolwaling Valley. Overnight in Gonghar Khola at a local teahouse.

After breakfast, drive back from Gonghar Khola to Kathmandu, enjoying scenic views of rivers, valleys, and rural landscapes along the way. The journey takes approximately 7–8 hours, bringing you back to the city where you can rest at your hotel and reflect on the unforgettable experiences of the Rolwaling Valley Trek.

On your last day, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for your onward flight home. Alternatively, you may choose to extend your adventure with other trekking routes or cultural tours in Nepal. This marks the conclusion of your unforgettable Rolwaling Valley journey.
