Pisang Peak (6,091 m), located in the Annapurna region, offers an exciting climbing experience for trekkers and mountaineers. The western flank features a hanging glacier and challenging terrain, while massive rock slabs guard the western end of the ridge, adding to the adventure. The peak was first successfully climbed by a German expedition in 1955.
Rising above Pisang village and its surrounding yak pastures, Pisang Peak ascends in a uniform slope of ice and snow to its final summit pyramid. It is considered one of Nepal’s lower trekking peaks, making it accessible yet rewarding. To reach the base camp, follow the Annapurna Circuit trekking route to Upper Pisang (Pisang village). From there, the trail climbs through sparse forests and pastures to a kharka at 4,380 m (14,366 ft), an ideal location for setting up the base camp.
